Question and Answer Page!

I thought it might be nice to set up a Question and Answer page for people that might have questions, comments, or support regarding following a zero carb keto diet! Note that I am not a doctor, this is not medical advice, just my own personal opinion! And of course, please keep comments respectful and civil! To participate, please click "Enter Your Comment" under the Comments area below on this page. Then I will get a notification and can reply to you! You will be given an option to receive notification by email of any followup replies to your comment. Thank you for reading! Grassfed lamb ribs with sea salt

Eyes on the Prize

I really want to get "cut", with nice muscle definition. I feel like it is within reach. I am at 15% bodyfat now. I think I will need to get down to 12-13% to be "cut".

I came across some example percentages here:

http://www.burnthefatinnercircle.com/public/What_is_the_Necessary_Body_Fat_Percentage_to_See_Your_Abs.cfm

WOMEN:
Competition Shape ("ripped"): 8-12%
Very Lean (excellent): < 15%
Lean (good): 16-20%

Just a quick note: You're not destined to get fatter as you get older, but in the general population (non fitness and bodybuilding folks), the average older person has more body fat. What I did to accommodate this was to include a range instead of one number, so younger people can use the low end of the range and older people can use the higher number.

So the main thing will be to "keep my eyes on the prize", by maintaining strict calorie restriction, and increasing my exercise.

The good news is that being in ketosis makes calorie restriction fairly easy, since it keeps one fairly satiated without hunger!
