Keto Carnivore: The Omega 6 "Hangover"

I was traveling some the other day and got chicharrones to eat on the road. Chicharrones are fried pork skin which may or may not have meat attached. I like the ones with some meat. These were really good. The "crust" was like a good lard pie crust, wonderfully light and flaky and crispy. But I ate too much and now this morning I have that slight sore throat and oogy feeling which for me always happens with too much omega 6 fatty acids. The omega 6 hangover!

I am looking forward to getting two whole lamb shares this coming week. It will feel good to be back to ruminant animal meat and get away from all these omega 6s in pork, poultry and eggs!

Luckily I do have a some burnt skin goat meat too, which is really delicious and has good omega 3 content.
