Question and Answer Page!

I thought it might be nice to set up a Question and Answer page for people that might have questions, comments, or support regarding following a zero carb keto diet! Note that I am not a doctor, this is not medical advice, just my own personal opinion! And of course, please keep comments respectful and civil! To participate, please click "Enter Your Comment" under the Comments area below on this page. Then I will get a notification and can reply to you! You will be given an option to receive notification by email of any followup replies to your comment. Thank you for reading! Grassfed lamb ribs with sea salt

Keto Carnivory: No Go on Fermented Plants

They say rightly that insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different outcomes. I am attesting to that right now for sure.

After reading a lot of material from Weston A. Price Foundation, and traditional Ukrainian and Russian recipes, I thought maybe my lifelong issues with plants could be overcome by fermentation. Well, I was wrong!

I should have known better. Now I have wasted $50 on Lactobacillus plantarum and another $12 on tempeh starter, and another $40 on chemical-free heirloom vegetables for nothing but pain, pain, pain. Live and learn, I guess. I just hate that it takes usually three days to recover.

So I will stick with carnivore, relying on what grassfed beef cuts that I can afford. Such as kidney, heart, tongue, crosscut shank, some fermented dairy. And hopefully prices don't keep escalating and products don't keep becoming more scarce.

I just can't live with the constant gut pain and constipation which I suffered through my whole childhood and half of my adulthood from eating plants! It is awful.

If I have to do prolonged fasting in order to use less beef, I would rather do that than suffer this.
