Question and Answer Page!

I thought it might be nice to set up a Question and Answer page for people that might have questions, comments, or support regarding following a zero carb keto diet! Note that I am not a doctor, this is not medical advice, just my own personal opinion! And of course, please keep comments respectful and civil! To participate, please click "Enter Your Comment" under the Comments area below on this page. Then I will get a notification and can reply to you! You will be given an option to receive notification by email of any followup replies to your comment. Thank you for reading! Grassfed lamb ribs with sea salt

Keto Carnivory: Venturing Off Carnivore

A number of factors have pushed me to try going off carnivore, after almost 5 years. For one, 100% grassfed beef and mutton is becoming very scarce, and expensive too. But non-GMO, chemical-free vegetables are easier to find and afford. So I am going to try eating them, but ferment them first with Lactobacillus plantarum. If this works, I plan to try growing my own. It is really important for me to not eat RoundUp pesticide!

I have ventured into 100% grassfed dairy, and I seem to do ok gut-wise with it, as long as it is fermented first.

I am also trying some eggs which are forage fed, along with non-GMO feed. Not ideal, but affordable and accessible.

The only 100% grassfed cuts I can afford on my retirement budget are beef tongue, heart, kidney, sweetbreads, and crosscut shank. So I stock up on them when I can get them.

I will miss having such consistent low blood glucose levels all day, and no hunger, nor gut or menstrual pain! That has been really great about carnivore.
