Question and Answer Page!

I thought it might be nice to set up a Question and Answer page for people that might have questions, comments, or support regarding following a zero carb keto diet! Note that I am not a doctor, this is not medical advice, just my own personal opinion! And of course, please keep comments respectful and civil! To participate, please click "Enter Your Comment" under the Comments area below on this page. Then I will get a notification and can reply to you! Keto Carnivory: Variety

Variety

I was able to find a few new meat/fish items that have a naturally ketogenic ratio!

Of course my go-to meat is grassfed/grass-finished lamb and mutton. I buy them in whole animal shares, and get the cuts all in organs, roasts, and ribs to retain all the fat.

There are a few cuts of beef that are sometimes fatty enough for a ketogenic ratio: beef brisket (but only with a good fat cap), occasionally short ribs (but all the ones I've seen lately have no fat), tongue, chuck roast, oxtail, and sweetbreads.

I had already discovered sablefish, Atlantic mackerel with skin, Pacific mackerel (also called sanma) with skin, and salmon with skin. These are really great fatty fish.

Then today at the Asian store I found Greenland halibut with skin! And according to Cronometer, that is also in a naturally ketogenic ratio! So I picked one up. It looks great!

And lastly, I also found forest-fed and acorn-fed pork online! It is also in a naturally ketogenic ratio, and should be much healthier in omega 6 to 3 ratio than commercial pork. I'm excitedly waiting for it to be delivered!
