Zero carb keto: Portion Size

One thing that I think is a bit of a change for people when adapting to zero carb keto, especially if also following calorie restriction, is portion size.

When people eat carbs, they are used to having big plates filled to the rim with various foods, and additional plates with bread, appetizers, snacks, etc. Then there are caloric beverages and desserts on top of that, and second helpings!

With zero carb keto, I have just one small plate, with a very small piece of fatty meat. That's all! These fatty meats are so calorie and nutrient dense, that only a very small portion size is needed. It is just less than the size of what would fit inside your palm!

This is a big change from the carb/sugar burning philosophy. It is much more efficient, but it requires a change of mindset.

Now I look forward to the richness and flavor of my meals, instead of just the quantity!
