Question and Answer Page!

I thought it might be nice to set up a Question and Answer page for people that might have questions, comments, or support regarding following a zero carb keto diet! Note that I am not a doctor, this is not medical advice, just my own personal opinion! And of course, please keep comments respectful and civil! To participate, please click "Enter Your Comment" under the Comments area below on this page. Then I will get a notification and can reply to you! You will be given an option to receive notification by email of any followup replies to your comment. Thank you for reading! Grassfed lamb ribs with sea salt

Carnivore Diet: Hypothyroid

I received my thyroid blood tests. Normal TSH, but low free T3 and T4. And high TPO antibodies (but only 260, so at least not sky-high). That does seem to confirm that I might have autoimmune thyroiditis, which would explain my slight weight gain, dry skin, and skipped menses.
My plan is to try and eat more squid and shellfish for the slight amount of natural carbs they contain, ad well as iodine. They also have copper, which should repigment my vitiligo. Also I will continue to eat lamb liver for the carbs and copper.
I am also planning on eating to satiety and no longer practicing calorie restriction.
I am tentatively trying whey that I made from local grassfed milk and from colostrum.  Whey has carbs as well. But I have always had problems with dairy after continuous use, so i don't have much faith in that route. But I do have faith in eating more shellfish, squid, and overall calories.
In other news, I picked my two whole lamb shares today. They came to about 75 lbs, so $7.22 per pound. Pretty good for local grassfed lamb!
