Keto Carnivore: Mercury in Food Part II

I've been doing more research on mercury in food. It is in foods (and in our own tissues and hair) from the burning of coal, primarily, it seems.

It is not just in seafood. It is also in plants and land animal products as well. And the more we eat of it, the more accumulates in our own tissues, breast milk, hair, etc.

I am going to try and do more research to find out if it is just coal-burning that is the major source, or if there are other sources.

After my finding my own blood mercury levels were double what is considered safe after eating some swordfish, I have decided to be more careful about my mercury intake. I am only getting small crustaceans and mollusks and wildcaught salmon and catfish for seafood. I will stick with lamb and beef, since it looks like pork and eggs are higher!

I will keep you posted on what else I find!
